Privacy Policy
This page explains the types of information GenCVMaker may process when you use the website. Before launch, the operator should review and update this policy so it exactly matches the services, hosting, analytics, AI providers, and retention settings actually used.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, this may include account details, resume or document content, job descriptions, and text you enter into career tools.
How information may be used
Information may be processed to provide requested features, maintain account security, troubleshoot errors, and improve the service. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is not needed for your career task.
AI processing and third-party services
Some features may send the text you submit to an AI service provider to generate a response. The operator must identify the providers in use and link to their current privacy terms before launch. Do not assume that AI output is private or error-free without checking the applicable provider terms.
Third-party job listings
The Jobs feature may retrieve job listings from Adzuna, a third-party job search provider. Search terms and location entered in the Jobs search—and a limited job-search query derived from detected resume skills when you request resume-based recommendations—may be sent to that provider to retrieve listings. GenCVMaker does not intentionally send the full resume text to Adzuna. Job search responses are cached on our server for up to 24 hours by default to reduce repeated provider requests. Job details and application links are supplied by the provider or employer and may open an external website subject to its own privacy policy and terms. GenCVMaker does not control listing accuracy, availability, hiring decisions, or the privacy practices of external job sites.
Saved jobs and email alerts
If you choose to save a job, we store the listing details and application URL in your account so you can return to it later. If you opt in to weekly job alerts, we store your alert search terms, location, enabled status and last delivery time, and use your account email to send the digest. You can disable weekly alerts from Saved Jobs & Alerts. We also record unique job application-link opens by month to enforce the published Free and Pro plan limits.
Storage, security, and retention
The service should use reasonable safeguards and keep information only as long as needed for its stated purposes or legal obligations. Actual storage locations, deletion procedures, backups, and retention periods must be documented by the operator before this policy is relied on.
Payments
Paid plans are processed by Razorpay. GenCVMaker does not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank login. We keep a record of the order (order and payment ID, amount, status and date) to activate your plan, handle support and refund requests and meet accounting obligations. Razorpay handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
Your choices and requests
For questions or requests about access, correction, or deletion of information, use the contact details published on the Contact page. Requests may be subject to applicable law and legitimate security requirements.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The published version should show its effective date and a way to contact the operator.
